Update for Patients: Cardiac Elective Surgeries in WA

We would like to provide an update regarding Elective Surgeries in WA and how they may effect patients of Access Cardiology and Access Vascular.

The WA Department of Health has now confirmed its approach to the restriction of elective procedures in private hospitals in response to COVID-19.  Under the Government’s direction, private hospitals are required to comply; it is not optional.

The restrictions are currently expected to last for seven weeks and will take effect from 28th February 2022 –  7th March 2022.

Private Hospitals are not able to accept any further bookings for the 7 week period.

These restrictions extend to all Hospitals that our doctors currently operate out of including;

  • Hollywood Private Hospital
  • Mount Private Hospital
  • Joondalup Health Campus
  • Fiona Stanley Hospital
  • Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital

Please note the restrictions could change based on COVID-19 case numbers.  We will communicate with you if that occurs.

All patients will be rebooked when surgeries resume.

Thank you for your patience during this complex and uncertain time. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact our offices if you have any queries on 9389 8658.
