Consultant Physician A/Prof Hassan Kamalddin is a renowned Internal Medicine Consultant Physician with a special interest, extensive training, and experience in the fields of Non-Invasive Cardiology and Echocardiography.
A/Prof Kamalddin was trained overseas in the fields of Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, Heart failure, Internal Medicine, Acute Medicine, and Intensive Care Medicine.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and the Royal College of Physicians of London. He holds the prestigious HFA European certification in the management of heart failure. He holds an American Board Testamur in Echocardiography and also holds a European Diploma in Intensive Care.
In Australia he has accreditation as a specialist in Internal Medicine.
He was previously the Head of the Acute medicine Department in Fiona Stanley Hospital and is currently the Clinical Lead for the High Acuity Care Unit in The Acute Medical department which admits a big proportion of cardiac patients requiring non-invasive management.
He has an extensive experience, accreditation, and a special interest in the management of Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathies, Primary cardiovascular disease prevention, Advanced Echocardiography, Non Invasive management of complex arrhythmias, Ischaemic heart disease, Cardioembolic conditions, Marfan syndrome, POTS, Vasospastic Angina, and Cardiac Oncology.
A/Prof Kamalddin works in close collaboration with Dr Justin NG and A/Prof Michael Nguyen to offer comprehensive care to our patients.
He is well published in peer-reviewed journals and remains a sought-after presenter in the fields of Echocardiography, Heart failure and Cardiac Ultrasound Imaging.
A/Prof Kamalddin is an active member of the European Society of Cardiology’s Heart Failure Association, European Society of Cardiology’s Cardiac Oncology Group and the American Society of Echocardiography.
Passionate about ensuring the next generation of physicians is in safe hands, A/Prof Kamalddin teaches medical students from Notre Dame, Curtin and UWA Medical schools. He is also the Coordinator for Advanced Training in Medicine at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals.
